(Motorsports news) After an exhilarating race in Bahrain, the Formula 1 bandwagon reaches Jeddah for the Saudi Arabian GP. Located alongside the Red Sea, the Corniche circuit will witness top drivers clash from the 7th to the 9th March race weekend. This will be the second Saturday race of the season.

As Formula 1 drivers prepare to take the steering wheel amidst the scorching heat in Jeddah, all eyes will be on Max Verstappen, who is in red-hot form after winning the Formula 1 Bahrain GP. Last year’s champion Sergio Perez, fresh from a remarkable second-place finish in Sakhir, aims to reclaim his glory on the streets of Jeddah. Meanwhile, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz of Ferrari emerge as formidable contenders, poised to challenge the dominance of Red Bull.

Mercedes will look forward to hitting the track with star driver Lewis Hamilton, who claimed the pole position during the last Saudi Arabian GP in December 2021. Determined to bounce back from a lackluster season opener, Mercedes will have its sights on the podium, ready to showcase its prowess amidst fierce competition.

In Formula 2, India’s Kush Maini will be looking to continue his form and aim for a podium finish. Maini had gotten the pole before he dropped down the grid due to a technical infringement. However, Maini managed to finish in seventh position.
