Formula 1 giants Mercedes sign five year sponsorship deal with TeamViewer

The Bahrain Grand Prix saw F1 champions Mercedes get back to winning ways with Lewis Hamilton finishing on pole position. The team isn’t just winning on the race track but also commercially with German tech giants TeamViewer announced as an official sponsor of Mercedes AMG Petronas in a five year deal. As per the terms of this sponsorship deal, the TeamViewer logo will be visible on the Mercedes F1 and Formula E cars along with the racing suits of Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas. Based in a small town in south west Germany, TeamViewer is a technology company founded in 2015 that develops software for remote access to computers and has reached more than 2.5 billion devices. Mercedes consider this deal an important step to achieve their goal of net zero emissions. TeamViewer was recently announced as the official sponsor of football giants Manchester United in a deal that will also span 5 years starting from the 2021-2022 season. With the COVID-19 pandemic, the services of the German tech company has never been more relevant and the increased coverage from two of the biggest names in motorsport and football will only help towards achieving this goal.
