What is Gareth Bale’s future at club level after Real Madrid exit?

(Football news) Gareth Bale has officially left Real Madrid after 9 years at the club. There have been plenty of reports in the past saying that Bale would have retired from professional football if Wales didn't qualify for the World Cup. Now that they have made it to the World Cup, the winger is definitely going to continue playing at least for another season. Bale's next contract is likely to be a short one no matter which club it's with. The Welshman's agent has recently said that a return to the UK is definitely a possibility.

Spanish media outlets have said that Bale wants to continue playing in Spain. Bale's agent in many interviews has said that the player and his family really like living in Madrid. The winger is still 32 years of age and if fit can be a match winner for any side in Europe. His recent performance for Wales in the World Cup qualifiers is proof of that. Recently there were a few shocking events that happened in Madrid. Getafe's president Angel Torres said "We spoke to Bale's agent 45 minutes ago, they offered him to us, we will study it."

Gareth Bale's agent Joshua Barnett was quick to reply with "I don't even have the President of Getafe's number." Despite his comments a move to Getafe would make perfect sense for the forward. He wants regular game time while his family doesn't want to leave Madrid therefore Getafe isn't a bad option. Now the likelihood is that Bale will go back to the Premier League or maybe even the EFL Championship. A move to the MLS is also something that might interest Welshman. A red flag for any interested club is that Bale might not put the club's interest on top as whatever he does will be with an eye on the Qatar World Cup. Which means that even if he gets a minor injury before a big game he will not risk anything.
