Dallas’ Walker Timme Picks NAU

May 5, 2025, Flagstaff, Arizona –  Walker Timme, a 6’7 forward who has pledged his loyalty to the Lumberjack family, will join Northern Arizona basketball for the 2025–26 campaign.  Timme will wear the Jacks’ No. 8 jersey.

Timme received accolades from head coach Shane Burcar, who said, “Walker is a seasoned player who comes from a solid program with a strong coach in Jeff Reinert.  He adds size to our frontcourt and is a tough player.  His ability to score in the paint is something we value.  Walker is culturally compatible with our program’s operations.  He is a welcome addition to our basketball family.

Prior to spending two seasons at the College of Southern Idaho, Timme started his college career at McNeese.  He most recently played as a sophomore for head coach Jeff Reinert.  Timme’s first season with the Eagles earned him a spot on the Jucorecruiting.com Fab 50 Freshman list.

He averaged 26.4 minutes on the court, shooting a remarkable 53.3 percent from the field, and started 16 of his 18 games.  With more than 150 shots, Timme maintained the second-best shooting percentage on the squad while averaging 11.1 points and 4.7 rebounds per game.  Notably, he pulled down 10 rebounds during a matchup with Salt Lake CC.

Timme, a first-team All-District athlete who graduated from Dallas, Texas’ JJ Pearce High School, averaged 18 points and eight rebounds per game while playing for head coach Marc Johnson.  Walker is Drew and Kendall’s brother and the son of Megan and Matt Timme.  While Drew Timme is making waves with the Brooklyn Nets in Dallas following an incredible career at Gonzaga, where he led the Bulldogs to a national championship berth, Kendall has committed to play volleyball at DePaul.  Gary Bell, an assistant coach at NAU, was a member of the Gonzaga staff during Timme’s sophomore season and his run in the 2021 tournament.
