Marco Rose faces his old side as Bayern look to get back to winning ways

(Football news) RB Leipzig take on Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga at the Red Bull Arena. Dortmund have the chance to move top of the table with a victory, while the hosts have only picked up five points from their first five matches this season. With Marco Rose's appointment as Tedesco's successor confirmed on Thursday, the Die Roten Bullen's players will be desperate to impress their new manager and avoid a third successive loss in a row as Rose faces his former club in his first game in charge new team.

Barring the late collapse at home to Werder Bremen, where they squandered a two-goal lead as they lost 3-2. So far it has been a faultless start from BVB, who have won each of their other four league games as they sit level on points with Freiburg at the top of the Bundesliga standings. Marco Reus's goal was enough to beat Hoffenheim at Westfalenstadion last week although they should have added to their goal tally in what was a dominant display. A win against their former boss on Saturday would not only ensure top spot for another week, but also victory will surely taste even sweeter than usual given that they lost to Leipzig in both league matches last season.

RB Leipzig possible starting lineup:

Gulasci; Simakan, Orban, Gvardiol; Henrichs, Laimer, Kampl, Raum; Forsberg; Nkunku, Werner

Borussia Dortmund possible starting lineup:

Kobel; Meunier, Hummels, Schlotterbeck, Guerreiro; Bellingham, Ozcan; Brandt, Reus, Reyna; Modeste

Bayern Munich take on Stuttgart on Saturday as the visitors are still searching for their first win of the season, while Bayern will be aiming to return to winning ways having drawn their last two league matches. Bayern recorded an impressive 2-0 win away to Inter Milan in the Champions League on Wednesday as Nagelsmann's team have been frustrated in recent Bundesliga matches. Having failed to beat Monchengladbach despite having 20 shots on target across the 90 minutes, Yann Sommer produced one of the most remarkable goalkeeping displays in recent times as the Bavarians were held to another 1-1 draw away to Union Berlin as well.

Sheraldo Becker opened the scoring by beating Manuel Neuer with a superb volley after 12 minutes. However, despite having 75% possession, Nagelsmann's side could not find a winner the much needed three points, with Sadio Mane's excellent header the closest they came late on. The 35-year-old coach will be demanding a more ruthless performance against Stuttgart on Saturday, with the midweek win in Milan likely to have restored plenty of confidence amongst the players.

Bayern Munich possible starting lineup:

Neuer; Pavard, De Ligt, Upamecano, Davies; Kimmich, Goretzka; Gnabry, Müller, Sane; Mane

Stuttgart possible starting lineup:

Muller; Mavropanos, Anton, Ito; Stenzel, Endo, Ahamada, Sosa; Fuhrich; Guirassy, Silas
