Real Madrid and Atletico play at home; Barcelona travel to Mallorca

(Football news) Barcelona are in a great run of form with 4 wins and 1 draw so far this season. They now have a tricky away fixture against Cadiz. Xavi did rest some of his players in the UCL match against Viktoria Plzen so he is likely to field a strong line-up. Sergi Roberto, who missed almost the entirety of last season due to injury started to get back this season but now has faced another setback and has not travelled with the team. Deadline day signings Marcos Alonso and Hector Bellerin are in the squad and could make their debut. The home side will be without the services of Rubén Alcaraz while Awer Mabil's availability is doubtful. Cadiz won their first pre-season fixture and since then they have failed to win a single match. They have already conceded 10 goals in 4 La Liga games and scored none. The match could be a bloodshed by Barcelona especially with Robert Lewandowski in top form.

After their dramatic win against Porto in the UCL, Atletico Madrid will be hosting Celta Vigo. Sergio Reguilon and Stefan Savic are still not available for Atleti while Matheus Cunha is also injured. Nahuel Molina is still not back from suspension and as for Celta Vigo, Denis Suarez still hasn't recovered from his injury. The Rojiblancos have had a rollercoaster of a season with 1 draw 1 loss and 3 wins. They will have to do better after the disappointment of last season. Atlético Madrid's win against Porto was very dramatic but their performance was still very underwhelming. Celta Vigo on the other hand 1 draw and 1 in their first 2 La Liga games recovered well with 2 wins. The match against Atletico is a good opportunity for them to try and push further up the table.

Los Blancos will be looking to extend their 6 game win streak as they take on Mallorca at the Santiago Bernabeu. Real Madrid have been hit with two massive blows as Karim Benzema and Eder Militao are both out with injuries. Eden Hazard who had a good game against Celtic is likely to play as a false 9 while Antonio Rudiger and David Alaba should play at centre back. Alvaro Odriozola is still struggling with an injury while Jesus Vallejo will be back on the bench after completing squad training. Mallorca on the other hand will be missing Dominik Greif, Iddrisu Baba, Amath Ndiaye and Angel Rodriguez. The visitors have lost only 1 game so far this season and they will be looking to stun the Bernabéu which is not an easy task.
