India’s esports market has grown significantly in recent years, and the government has taken a number of steps to safeguard its security and privacy. Numerous organizations have expanded into India as a result of the sharp increase in Indian players playing online games like BGMI, Dota 2, COD, Valorant, and CS:GO.

The state intends to run a talent-finding initiative with this sport’s fans between the ages of 12 and 17. The athletics department will host a 10-day event where kids may compete and show off their gaming prowess. The MP state junior championship will coincide with this talent discovery program.

The goal of establishing the Academy, according to sports minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia, is to develop sports that are represented at the Asian Games and the Olympics. In addition to traditional sports, the academy will give young people the chance to develop their talents in these new sports.

This sport has recently been added to the Asian Games 2022 as a medal sport and as a test event for the Commonwealth Games 2022. The esports industry is expected to expand four times quicker and reach INR 1,100 crore by 2025, per a 2021 E&Y estimate. Large organizations from across the world have ventured into India because of this boom, seeing it as a viable market for their products in the next years.

An important turning point in India’s sporting history has been reached with the opening of the nation’s first Esports Academy in Madhya Pradesh. It not only acknowledges esports as a genuine sport but also offers young gamers a platform to develop their talents and engage in professional competition.
