(Hockey news) India (men) and China (women) have so far completed their quota of 16 matches, with India currently backing a the top position of the men’s table while China are placed in the 7th position in the women’s points table.
With enough of matches yet to be played by the other teams, there is frisk to be a lot more movement that will affect not just the title chase, but also the battle for elimination. Matches will become thick and fast with mini-tournaments starting in Antwerp and London. 4 men’s and 4 women’s teams will be in action in both mini-tournaments that will run from 16-21 June.
The current mini-tournament of this season’s FIH Hockey Pro League was held in Eindhoven, Netherlands consisting team like Australia, Argentina, China, India and Netherlands. India and China completed their set of 16 matches.
India completed their campaign on 30 points and currently stands on the top of the men’s FIH Pro League standings, but just 4 points ahead of Great Britain who have 4 games left to play this season and having a great potential to snatch the position from Indians. China ended their campaign with 10 points, presently placed in 7th position, but USA in 8th and New Zealand in 9th position both have 8 games left and can climb above China and push them towards relegation.
