(Football News) Fede Valverde’s career graph at Real Madrid has been very interesting. He broke into the first team and benched Luka Modric in the beginning. Later when Modric regained his form Fede Valverde started playing at right wing because he was virtually undroppable. Last season was an interesting one as the season started with Valverde playing on the right wing because Rodrygo was playing as a striker due to Karim Benzema’s injury. During that time Valverde was up there with the best players in the world but things changed after the World Cup.
The World Cup was a disaster for Uruguay and Fede Valverde. The player then came back to Real Madrid and failed to have a similar impact. However, despite that Carlo Ancelotti continued to trust him and kept him in the side. Benzema recovered and Rodrygo kept his place while Valverde took Aurélien Tchouaméni’s place in midfield. Real Madrid have signed Jude Bellingham, Fran Garcia, Joselu, and Brahim Diaz. It is becoming more and more likely that Los Blancos’ transfer window is over. They haven’t replaced Benzema because of the likelihood of Kylian Mbappe coming next year and also the arrival of Endrick.
If that is the case it would make perfect sense to put Fede Valverde on the right wing where he is pretty effective. That would mean Aurélien Tchouaméni, Eduardo Camavinga, Jude Bellingham, Luka Modric, and Toni Kroos fighting for three midfield spots. Real Madrid may still pull something out of the bag to make a high-profile signing in this window which could change the dynamic completely. One thing is clear that the midfield is Fede Valverde’s best position and the sooner he plays there the better for him and the team.
