Posting their highest ever T20 total, the other batsmen that starred for the Firebirds were Devon Conway, who smashed an unbeaten 91 off 58 balls and Tom Blundell, who hit a quickfire 46 off 23 as the Firebirds dominated the Aces bowlers throughout their innings. 21 year old Allen is having a dream run at the Super Smash this season, scoring six half centuries and totalling 496 runs with a brilliant strike rate of 196. This was Wellington Firebirds final league game against the out of contention Auckland Aces. The defending champions had already booked a home Grand Final at the Basin on next Saturday.
