(Football news) Chelsea defeated Leicester City, a Championship team, 4–2 at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon after they withstood a two-goal comeback in the FA Cup.

But Mauricio Pochettino’s team will be rewarded with a matchup with the 2023 winners at the Wembley Stadium round of 64. The two teams will square off after their two Premier League meetings this season finished in draws: in February, at the Etihad Stadium, City scored late to secure a 1-1 draw, while in a thrilling 4–4 match at Stamford Bridge.

Following an incredible 4-3 victory over Liverpool later on Sunday, Manchester United will take on Coventry City in the other semifinal match in the FA Cup.

Manchester United had the early advantage, but after falling down 2-1 in regulation time and 3-2 in extra time, they needed a late goal from Amad Diallo and Marcus Rashford to secure one of their most memorable victories of the season.

Thanks to their equally amazing 3-2 comeback victory against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday, Coventry is playing in its first semi-final since 1986–1987, the year they last won the championship.

The matches are scheduled for April 20 and 21, respectively. However, Coventry City’s Championship match against Hull City on April 23 would force the Sky Blues to play United in the opening match.

In addition, Man City will play Real Madrid in the second leg of their quarterfinal Champions League match on April 17, while they clearly prefer to play on April 21.
