Everton pushing to sign Armando Broja from Chelsea

According to reports, Everton is prepared to move quickly in the summer transfer window in an attempt to recruit a Chelsea star

(Football news) During the most recent season, Sean Dyche’s team defied two distinct point deductions to avoid relegation from the Premier League, raising more attention for the Toffees’ off-field activities than their on-field exploits.

Moreover, there have been several changes in the ownership race, with other parties putting up bids to acquire the company after 777 Partners was unable to close a deal.

Consequently, it seemed improbable that Everton would bring in any players at this point in the summer, especially since they will have to sell players to comply with Premier League rules about Profit and Sustainability.

Nevertheless, it was suggested over the weekend that the Merseyside outfit will look to strengthen their forward options by acquiring the services of a Chelsea player.

Everton hold talks over Broja deal

Everton are eager to get a deal for Armando Broja over the line. Everton have been in “daily contact” with their Chelsea counterparts in order to try to secure the services of the 22-year-old.

Everton are said to be hopeful of making a quick breakthrough with a package that could rise to £30m reportedly being discussed.

Whether concluding a deal is realistic remains to be seen with Broja currently with the Albania squad preparing for Euro 2024.

The recent Fulham loanee has also acknowledged that he is in no rush to make a decision over his future, aware that other clubs are contemplating moves for his signature.

What would be the ramifications of any transfer?

In Chelsea’s case, co-owners Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital would be delighted to facilitate a quick sale of Broja in order to bolster their own bid to meet the Premier League’s financial regulations.

Chelsea have just recouped in the region of £4m courtesy of Broja’s failed loan switch to Craven Cottage, where he would be restricted to just eight substitute outings.

From Everton’s perspective, signing Broja for the transfer fee mentioned would seemingly indicate that one of their current frontmen is departing Goodison Park.

Although Dominic Calvert-Lewin is clear of Beto and Youssef Chermiti in the pecking order, the long-serving England international has just one year left on his contract and has coincidentally been linked with a move to West London.
