(Football news) The Everton attackers were held at bay for the majority of the game because to Sudeva’s excellent defensive performance. Sudeva maintained their composure throughout the game while defending in large numbers and barely ever lost their structure. With their remarkable performances for the team from the national capital, Prajal Tushir and Chungkham Jackson in particular stood out.

Prajal was a right-back player who put in a lot of effort to retrieve the ball and repeatedly advance it up the flanks. Although he helped the club effortlessly transition into a flank attack, he also gave his center-backs plenty of cover. The Sudeva forwards may have benefited from his excellent interlinking with the forwards, which included sneaking in a few passes into the 18-yard box.

He also assisted in stretching the Everton defence by moving forward and attracting a few important English club defenders to him. The kid put in a great display despite his deliveries and crosses into the box possibly needing a little more precision. In the dying seconds, Clark pounced on a wayward delivery inside the Sudeva box to score the game-winning goal for Everton and give his team their first victory of the tournament.

“I am really pleased with the performance overall. We understand that at this point at the start of the tournament, we are looking for a reaction from our lads and obviously it was a real great experience for them to play in this climate, something that the boys have not faced before. So, the performance and the application was much more than what we had expected. So, really pleased overall and nice to top that (with a goal) in the end as well,” Everton coach Kieran Driscoll reflected on the game and the performance of his boys.

“I think we could have won this match you know. We created our chances but unfortunately we could not capitalise on them. First few minutes, we created a couple of goal-scoring chances. But, I think this is football and yeah, there is a regret of not winning,” Sudeva coach Chencho Dorji mentioned after the match.
