(Football news) The Europa League Round of 16 fixtures have been announced with Arsenal, who reached the final in the 2018/19 edition and the semi-final in 2020/21 travelling to Lisbon to take on Ruben Amorim’s Sporting CP, who are fourth in the Primeira Liga at the moment.

Meanwhile, Manchester United will take on Spanish opponents Real Betis after dispatching La Liga leaders FC Barcelona in the Europa League play off match. The Red Devils have lost just once since November across all competitions and will take on former Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini’s team at Old Trafford in the first set.

In other draws, Bundesliga title candidates Union Berlin will take on Union Saint-Gilloise while AS Roma will face Real Sociedad. The first leg of the Round of 16 fixtures will take place on Thursday, March 9th and the second leg will occur two weeks later on Thursday March 16. The quarter-final draw will be done on Friday, March 17th.
