(Football news) Marcus Rashford has had a prolific season for Manchester United, scoring 29 goals in all competitions, which has been his best so far in his career. The England international is unlikely to feature against Bournemouth due to an illness, despite returning to training earlier this week after missing out on the match against Wolves due to injury.

Speaking at the press conference ahead of the match against Bournemouth, Erik ten Hag said “I know [it is taking time]. But I won’t talk about the process. This is not important at the moment for me or Rashy. For him, it is to get more goals this season and he is playing a wonderful season and the team is playing a wonderful season. We have to get into the Champions League and focus on that. Marcus wants to stay and we want him to stay, so I think we will find each other.”

“I think we have to keep doing what we have all season. Improve every day and improve every game and not look too far ahead. Focusing on the next game is the most important.” Manchester United need two wins to be guaranteed a place in next season’s Champions League from the three remaining games. The Red Devils are currently one point ahead of Liverpool with a game in hand and will face Chelsea next week at Old Trafford.
