(Football news) The Three Lions have had a fantastic season, winning seven games with 19 points to comfortably lead Group C and qualify for the European Championship in the summer. North Macedonia, who was ranked fourth in the division, will not be competing in the European Championship next summer.

North Macedonia is currently in fourth place in Group C with seven points after winning two, drawing one, and losing four of their seven Euro 2024 qualification games.

For the first time in a major event, the Lions advanced to the finals of Euro 2020, although they won’t be at the European Championship in the summer of 2020.

The team led by Blagoja Milevski is coming into this game after losing 5-2 to Italy on Friday and suffering a 2-0 loss to Ukraine in mid-October. North Macedonia’s two victories in this section have come against Malta; in the rematch with England at Wembley in mid-June, they were defeated 7-0.

After making it to the 2022 World Cup playoff final and losing 2-0 to Portugal, where Bruno Fernandes scored twice for the home team, the Lions will attempt to contend for a position at the 2026 World Cup.

Following their 2-0 victory over Malta at Wembley, where Harry Kane scored in the 75th minute after Enrico Pepe’s own goal had given the home team the lead, England will head into their final Group C match.

Despite their lackluster showing, the Three Lions have won six and drawn one of their last seven games in the section to amass 19 points, placing them comfortably atop the standings.

With a point against North Macedonia, Gareth Southgate’s team can guarantee their spot in Pot 1 for the finals draw, even though they are six points ahead of second-placed Italy.
