Unai Emery, the head coach of Aston Villa, has expressed his opinions about Marcus Rashford’s performance.  Notably, in February 2025, Rashford went on loan from Manchester United to Aston Villa.

“He is a very professional player, a wonderful man, and humble.  He asks a lot of himself in whatever we ask of him on the team and is truly happy with his teammates.  The most crucial factor, in my opinion, is that he plays freely and easily.  Prioritizing building a relationship with him as a person before focusing on him as a player is essential, Emery stated.

“He keeps getting better at his job here.  He began his career here as a left winger but has now switched to a more forward-oriented role.  He is able to make the best use of his attributes through the team collaborative process.  The most crucial thing is how he feels, but there is still a lot to do.  The finest thing we can see of him is his smile.  On the official Aston Villa website, Emery stated, “I see him happy and committed to our cause.”
