DWPL 2022 inaugurated by Sports Minister of Telangana Shrinivas Goud

(Cricket news) The Divyang Control Board of India along with Telangana Wheelchair Cricket Association in association with the Chetna Foundation have organised the Divyang Wheelchair Premier League 2022 which will be held at Lal Bahadur Shastri International Cricket Stadium, Hyderabad, Telangana. Shri Shrininas Goud, Sports Minister of Telangana inaugurated the triangular series between India Orange, India White and India Green and wheelchair cricketers all over India will be participating. 

The first match of the tournament was played between India Orange and India White with Ramesh Sartape, captain of India White winning the toss and elected to field. India Orange posted a score of 197/5 in 20 overs. Ataullah Khan Monu was a standout performer with 68* runs in 45 balls, scoring 10 fours in the process. Ramavath scored 62 runs in 40 balls with 12 fours and Dhan Singh Koranga scored 39 runs in 30 balls with 6 fours. Parshuram Desale took 3 wickets of Rahman Khan, Dhan Singh Koranga and Santosh.

As for India White, Parshuram Desale scored 115* runs in 65 balls with 21 fours. Samayuddin Shaikh scored 31 runs in 24 balls. General Secretary of Divyang Cricket Control Board of India Shree Haroon Rasheed and CEO Ghazal Khan congratulated India White and Parshuram Desale for a brilliant performance in the opening match. The second match will be played between India Orange and India Green while the third match will be between India White and India Green.
