Dream11 replaces Byjus Team India’s lead sponsor 

There is a change in lead sponsor ahead of the Test series against West Indies which will be the first task for Team India in the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 cycle

(Cricket news) As Team India lock horns for the first Test series against West Indies, the Board of Control of Cricket (BCCI) proclaimed that there is a change in the Indian cricket team’s lead sponsor. The fantasy gaming platform Dream11 has replaced the ed-tech platform Byju. The change in lead sponsor comes ahead of the crucial Test series against West Indies. 

BCCI President Roger Binny in a statement congratulated Dream11 for becoming the lead sponsor for Team India. The fantasy gaming platform was already in service as the official sponsor for the Indian cricket team. “I congratulate Dream11 and welcome them on board again. From being BCCI’s official sponsor to now being the lead sponsor, the BCCI-Dream11 partnership has grown from strength to strength,” BCCI President concluded

Byju had withdrawn as the sponsor after the completion of the last financial cycle, initiating the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to invite sealed bids for a new sponsor. The BCCI President added that ahead of the ICC World Cup 2023, which will be hosted by India, the BCCI-Dream11 partnership will operate towards enriching the fan experience.

“It is a direct testament to the trust, value, potential, and growth that Indian Cricket. As we prepare to host the ICC World Cup later this year, enhancing fan experience is among our top preferences and I am convinced that this partnership will help us elevate the fan engagement experience,” Binny also added.

Dream11 co-founder Harsh Jain said that the company conveys its love for cricket with a billion other cricket fans and Dream11 is exhilarated to take the partnership to the next level.
