Dembele and Kean scored twice as Juventus and Barcelona draw 2-2

(Football news) Barcelona drew their pre-season friendly against Juventus 2-2. Xavi started with a front 3 of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Robert Lewandowski and Ousmane Dembele which is one of the many options he has. Juventus on the other hand lined up in a 4-2-3-1 with 20-year-old Nicola Rovella as a number 10. The Blaugrana dominated the majority of the match but were left open at times for Juventus to pounce on. Barcelona had 58% possession with 7 shots on target while Juventus had 42% possession with 4 shots on target.

Ousmane Dembele went past 4-5 defenders to score the opening goal in the 34th minute. Moise Kean equalised in the 39th and 1 minute after that, Dembele scored once again. Kean scored another in the 52nd minute to bring things back on level terms. Raphinha and Ansu both hit the crossbar which was the closest any team came to scoring the winner. Xavi will be very happy with his sides performances in the pre-season so far. All the new signings have added much needed depth to their squad. The decision to renew Ousmane Dembele's contract is already proving to be a great one as he had a great game.

As for Juventus, Moise Kean had a really good game as he scored two goals. Paul Pogba's long term injury has left a dent in midfield which means that they will be looking for a midfielder. PSG's Leandro Paredes is one of the players who is on their list. Their last pre-season game is against Real Madrid after which they will start their Serie A campaign. Barcelona on the other hand have to play New York Red Bulls and Pumas before returning to Spain for the start of La Liga.
