Warren Deutrom, Chief Executive of Cricket Ireland, said: “We are delighted that Clear Treasury have come on board and agreed to be named title sponsor of the 11th Irish Cricket Awards. Clear Treasury have been a long-time supporter of Irish Cricket and we’re pleased that they are deepening their relationship with us through this sponsorship.

“We look forward to once more celebrating a memorable year in Irish cricket. The Irish Cricket Awards acknowledge the many people who played a part in Irish cricket during 2022. And what a year it was!

“There were so many highlights – such as our senior women qualifying for the ICC Women’s Championship, beating South Africa in a T20 International at a packed Pembroke Cricket Club, and that historic T20I series victory over Pakistan in Lahore. Hosting exciting series’ against India, New Zealand, and Afghanistan (Men), and South Africa, Australia, and Pakistan (Women). Qualifying for both Men’s and Women’s T20 World Cups. Reaching the Super Six stage of the Men’s tournament and beating England, while our under-19 Men’s side did so well at their World Cup in January.

“We’d like to thank the many thousands of players, coaches, umpires, groundstaff, match officials and volunteers who year-in, year-out ensure our sport continues to grow. I’d also like to offer our sincerest thanks also to our Provincial Unions, Governments, Sport Ireland and Sport NI, our sponsors and business partners, venue partners and media for another successful year, and finally thanks to the many, many fans of Irish cricket in Ireland and around the world.”

Chief Commercial Officer of Clear Treasury, Paul Reilly, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to be sponsoring the 11th Irish Cricket Awards. The Clear Treasury group have been long-term supporters of Irish Cricket, supporting grassroots and International cricket, and it’s great to see both Clear Treasury and Irish Cricket on similar growth trajectories.

“While cricket is not my background, since I have come to know the sport better through Clear Treasury’s association with Cricket Ireland over the last five years, I have come to appreciate why cricket is loved and followed by 2 billion people around the world.

“And that is the value that drives Clear Treasury’s support for the sport in Ireland – we see its growth, we see its profile is on the rise, we see its international dimension and we see a bright future. Similarly, Clear Treasury as a business is on the same trajectory. Our products and services help to support and strengthen communities across Ireland, and we are growing year-on-year.

“What interests us about supporting cricket is not so much the inarguable global reach, but how we can help to strengthen and support the connections between the grassroots and the elite levels in Ireland. This event exemplifies these connections and recognises achievement at all levels – that is why we are proud to sponsor the Awards in 2023.”
