(Football News) The ongoing trend of players leaving Chelsea’s squad seems poised to continue in the coming weeks, as the club’s management aims to streamline the team for their new head coach, Mauricio Pochettino. Starting from July 1, the Argentine coach will begin his work with the intention of rejuvenating the team after a disappointing season.

Finishing in 12th place in the Premier League, along with challenging cup runs, left little to celebrate for the fans throughout the past year. Despite numerous exciting signings, the team struggled with inconsistent lineup choices and performances, adding to the overall lack of stability.

“Towards the end of his time at Stamford Bridge, interim manager Frank Lampard openly acknowledged the potential imbalance within the squad,” admitting, “Maybe, yeah.” It is crucial for the West London club to avoid repeating the same mistakes, and a series of departures could pave the way for improved equilibrium.

Upon his arrival, Pochettino’s primary task has been to assess which players are integral to his plans. Loaned players such as Joao Felix and Denis Zakaria are returning to their clubs, while the Blues made an effort to retain N’Golo Kante, who ultimately confirmed a move on a free transfer to Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia.

It seems that the midfielder won’t be the sole Chelsea player making such a transition, as Kalidou Koulibaly, Edouard Mendy, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have also been associated with potential moves. Additionally, the future of Hakim Ziyech appears to be nearly confirmed, with strong indications that he will be joining one of the newly supported clubs in the region.

As per Fabrizio Romano’s report, Hakim Ziyechl has reportedly reached a comprehensive verbal agreement with Al-Nassr for a summer transfer. The deal is expected to span three years, keeping the forward contracted until 2026, effectively concluding his three-year tenure at Chelsea since his move from Ajax.

Sources suggest that the clubs have finalized their agreement, with the completion of contract signings being the final step before the deal is officially sealed. If all goes as planned, Ziyech will soon join Cristiano Ronaldo as his new teammate at Al-Nassr, becoming the first superstar to make such a move to Saudi Arabia.

Ziyech is definitely not the final player to depart, as Chelsea continues to implement numerous alterations within the squad to create an optimal setup for Pochettino’s arrival.
