(Football news) Brazil have put on a mighty team out for the World Cup in Qatar this month as head Coach Adenor Leonardo Bacchi, aka Tite. He  has named nine forwards in his 26-man squad, highlighting not only his plethora of options up front, but also giving an indication as to the sort of football. They will be playing a high-pressing and attacking brand of football in the World Cup in Qatar.

Neymar who is going to be one of the captains in the team is set to be the most experienced forward, despite being only 30 as he finds himself at the tip of Brazil’s attack, with the support of youngsters such as Vinicius Jr, Gabriel Martinelli and Rodrygo. Dani Alves on the other hand could be the oldest player in the World Cup this year at the age of 39-years-old the former Barcelona right back was also included in the squad. The team features eight defenders and six midfielders as Alves will be the oldest player ever named in a Brazilian World Cup squad, but his relationship with the national side and leadership skills were mostly the main reasons he got a spot in the squad

Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho  were left disappointed after being left out of the squad. The Aston Villa attacking midfielder will also be bitterly disappointed after he suffered a thigh injury in weekend training which will see him sidelined for several weeks. Brazil are taking a gamble by just taking four centre backs in Juventus’s Bremer, PSG’s Marquinhos, Chelsea’s Thiago Silva and Real Madrid’s Eder Militao, while the likes of Roger Ibanez of Roma, Lucas Verissimo of Benfica and Gabriel Magalhaes of Arsenal were all left out of this talented Brazilian squad.

Tite who earlier announced that he will step down as Brazil head coach after the World Cup in Qatar. The Brazilian football association also announced that former PSG manager Ricardo Gomes will also join Tite’s staff as an assistant coach. The squad will gather on November 14 at the Juventus’s training facilities in Turin, where Brazil are going to hold a five-day training camp before flying to Doha on November 19. Brazil are in Group G, with Serbia, Switzerland and Cameroon. In the last World Cup, the Brazilians lost to Belgium in the quarter-finals and they are going to start the tournament as firm favourites. Brazil’s World Cup in Qatar begins against Serbia on November 24. The 61-year-old Tite, would like to replicate Luiz Felipe Scolari’s feat who led Brazil to their most recent World Cup win 20 years ago, as he will step down after this tournament after six years in charge of Brazil.

Tite said. “He adds technical and tactical aspects that are impressive, to be an organiser, an articulator,” the coach said.
