(Football news) The victors of the Reliance Foundation Development League (RFDL) showed great passion in their attempts to win possession higher up the pitch, and they were even successful in doing so quite a few times. However, the transition to attack sometimes seemed a little shaky, which stopped them from creating clear-cut possibilities to score goals.

After a cautious start, the Hammers gradually became more involved in the game. They started taking chances, and in the 22nd minute they scored the game’s first goal thanks to a well-coordinated frontline effort. Bengaluru FC’s Shighil NS was a little taken aback as the Blues attempted to prepare a deep offensive move from their end.

When that opportunity presented itself, Archie Woods seized it and got the ball back from Shighil. The West Ham playmaker George Earthy received a fast pass from Woods, who then squared up a pass for the forward Dan Riggie. At a critical time in the first half, the striker calmly placed the ball into the goal to give the Lauris Coggin-coached team a significant advantage.

Huidrom Thoi Singh, the main player for Bengaluru, appeared to be in charge of their offensive efforts as they replied forcefully. Thoi showed off some excellent footwork as he evaded a few players and advanced towards the goal with the intention of scoring. To keep Bengaluru at bay, Ryan Battrum and Josh Briggs smartly won the ball back from him and impeded his path.

The Hammers came out firing in the second half, wasting no time and moving up quickly thanks to some fantastic interlinking between Earthy and Favour Fawunmi.

In the first half, Fawunmi tormented the Bengaluru defence on multiple occasions. In the 36th minute, he performed a quick one-two with Earthy before sending the ball into the bottom right corner to give West Ham their second goal of the match and ultimately give them the victory.

As the game went on, the Hammers only grew more dangerous going forward. Rigge dropped back to support the development of an offensive move before passing it to Fawunmi, who was standing by the 18-yard box. Fawunmi was unable to make a solid shot, but substitute Blaise Uwandji took advantage of the situation to score.

When it seemed as though West Ham had finished their goal-scoring spree, substitute Lewis Orford scored again in the 72nd minute to increase the margin of victory and complete a nearly flawless outing for the visiting club.
