Barcelona and Atlético play at home; Real Madrid travel to Mallorca

(Football news) After 3 consecutive league wins, Atlético Madrid will host relegation-threatened Cadiz. Los Piratas after losing 2 and drawing 3, won their last game against Rayo Vallecano. It is not going to be an easy game for Atleti who will be without Sime Vrsaljko, Thomas Lemar, Angel Correa, Mario Hermoso, Stefan Savic, Geoffrey Kondogbia, Koke, Matheus Cunha and Daniel Wass. As for Cadiz, Ivan Alejo, who got injured in the last game is the only player who will miss the game. Diego Simeone cannot afford to slip as they are 4th in the league and are closely tailed by Real Betis.

Barcelona will go head to head with Osasuna at the Nou Camp. The Blaugrana are unbeaten in their last 3 games in all competitions. Their last game was a goalless draw at home against Galatasaray where they missed a lot of chances. Ansu Fati, Samuel Umtiti and Sergi Roberto are the only injury absentees for Barcelona along with Nico Gonzalez who is suspended. The Catalan club will have to fight very hard to resist Osasuna who have troubled them in the past. Forward Chimy Avila is the danger man who can cause Barcelona a lot of problems on the counter.

After their sensational UCL comeback against PSG, Real Madrid will travel away to Mallorca. After a tough UCL win, Real Madrid have fallen into the habit of dropping points in the league. Carlo Ancelotti will have to motivate his players as the title race is still not over yet despite Madrid having an 8 point lead. Ferland Mendy and Casemiro who were suspended for the PSG game will be fresh against Mallorca. Toni Kroos, who rushed himself to fitness for the important UCL game may be rested as Fede Valverde and Eduardo Camavinga are both in terrific form. Nacho, Eder Militao and Karim Benzema all picked up small knocks against PSG but should be fit for the game on Monday. Mallorca are just 2 points off the relegation zone and a result against the league leaders would be game changing.
