Serie A: Napoli maintained their 100% record as both Milan clubs won to make it threeway battle at the top

(Football news) Napoli still remain the only team with a 100% record in all top European leagues as they reclaimed the top position. Juventus finally got their first league win of the season as they came from behind to help them get out of the relegation places.

AC Milan won 2-0 against Venezia as they maintain their unbeaten start to the season, Stefan Poli’s side began in the first half in a very lackluster manner as they couldn’t break the deadlock but in the second half goals from in form Brahim Diaz and a late goal for Theo Hernandez secured the all important three points for the Rosenaris. With this result Milan are in third position and level on points with Inter, who are ahead on goal difference only as they have 13 points from 5 matches.

Inter Milan won 3-1 against Fiorentina as the score doesn’t do full justice to the match. The match began with Fiorentina on the front foot as they took the lead through Ricardo Sottil in the 23rd minute but the story of the second half was completely different as Inter started dominating, they equalised through Darmian and Dzeko completed the turn around as he scored three minutes after the equalisers. Ivan Perisic put the icing on the cake as he scored late on to secure three points. With this result Inter are now in 2nd position with 13 points.

Juventus won 3-2 against Spezia in a very dramatic match, Allegri’s side were desperate to get their first win as they took the lead through Moise Kean but sloppy defending from Juventus let the lead slip out as goals from Gyasi and Antiste made it 2-1. Substitute Chiesa equalised as De Ligt completed the comeback by scoring from the corner. With this result Juve are out of the relegation places and have moved upto 12th in the table with 5 points.

Napoli thrashed Sampdoria 4-0 to move to the top of the table. Spalletti’s side were at their dominant best as Victor Osimhen opened the scoring within the first 10 minutes, Napoli just became better as the game progressed as they scored further goals from Ruiz and Zielinski which helped them seal all three points. Napoli have 15 points from 5 matches to show for their efforts.

AS Roma won 1-0 against Udinese as Jose Mourinho’s side went back to winning ways. Tammy Abraham tapped in the only goal of the match in the 36th minute as Lorenzo Pelligrini got a red card late on which was the only blip in their performance.
