Indian men’s hockey team enter quarter-finals after 3-1 win over Argentina

(Hockey news) Olympic 2021 Live Update: Indian men’s hockey team defeated the reigning Olympic champions Argentina to progress into the quarterfinals at the Tokyo Olympics. Despite a goalless two quarters, it was India that opened the scoring in the third quarter thanks to Varun Kumar’s penalty corner strike but Argentina soon found an equalizer thanks to Casella Schuth’s penalty corner conversion. With three minutes left on the clock, Olympic debutant Vivek Sagar Prasad gave India the lead followed up by Harmanpreet third to assure Manpreet Singh’s team that they will at least finish 2nd in Men’s Pool A.

This was the third win for the Indian men’s hockey team as they look to secure the Olympic gold in their quest for glory.
