As per the latest football news, Kerala Blasters FC have managed to sign veteran defender Harmanjot Khabra ahead of the upcoming season of the Indian Super League (ISL). He has signed a two year deal with the club and his contract runs till 2023. He has over 200 appearances in different tiers of Indian football. As far as the ISL is concerned he is a player with the 4th highest number of appearances in the league, the Punjab based defender has 102 appearances to his name.
He has been a professional footballer since 2006. His biggest asset is the fact that he is a versatile player, he can play in defence, midfield and even at wing if needed. He is a product of the Tata Football Academy.
Khabra started his professional career for the I-League team Sporting Club de Goa in the 2006-07 season. In his debut season, he reached the finals of the Federation Cup. In the 2006 Durand Cup, he won the most promising player award. He then went on to sign for East Bengal, a club where he spent 7 years of his football career. In 2014 Chennaiyin FC roped in Khabra who went on to play an integral role in their journey to the semifinals of 2014 ISL and winning it in 2015. He moved to Bengaluru FC after 3 years at Chennai and played a key role in their 2018-19 ISL triumph.

Harmanjot Khabra is KBFC’s fourth new signing ahead of this season, after Sanjeev Stalin, Hormipam Ruivah, and Vincy Barreto.
