Bundesliga: Bayern and Dortmund both win convincingly as Wolfsburg lost their 100% start to the season

(Football news) German football provided the fans with plenty of goals, Bayern are steam rolling every opponent their way and Dortmund's talisman Haaland is just scoring for fun as the Bundesliga table looks very familiar with those two at the top. Wolfsburg maintained their unbeaten run but drew against Frankfurt to drop 2 points as Bayern became the new leaders of the Bundesliga.

Bayern won 7-0 against VFL Bochum as they are back to their dominant best, Nagelsman side fired four goals past them in the first half itself. Bayern opened the scoring with Leroy Sane and goals from Kimmich, Gnabry and an own goal from Lampropoulos virtually sealed the game for them in the first half. In the second half, an inevitable goal from Lewandowski and one more for Kimmich, Eric Choupo Moting rounded off the perfect performance late on as he scored his 50th goal in the Bundesliga. With this result Bayern are on top with 13 points from 5 matches as they have a superior goal difference of 16.

Dortmund were back to their best as they won 4-2 against Union Berlin as Marco Rose is slowly but steadily integrating his philosophy in this team. Dortmund opened the scoring through an amazing half volley from Guerreiro in the first 10 minutes, Haaland then doubled the tally with a towering header. In the second half, Dortmund made it 3-0 through an own goal from Friedrich but Union had other ideas as they pegged back two goals from Kruse and Voglsammer. Erling Haaland wrapped up the three points with a sublime half volley chip over the keeper to take his goal tally to 7 goals from 5 matches. With this result Dortmund are on 12 points just 1 point behind Bayern.

“Erling is simply a goal-hunting machine. When he sees a chance to put the ball in the net, his eyes light up and a fire is lit,” said Dortmund defender Mats Hummels after the match.

Wolfsburg drew 1-1 against Eintracht Frankfurt as they missed their chance to go on top of the table. Marco Van Bommels side were very lackluster in the first half as they conceded a goal through Sam Lammers but Wolfsburg showed their spirit as they pegged them back after a goal from Weghorst. With this result Wolsburg are level on points with Bayern on 13 points but have an inferior goal difference compared to Bayern.

All the action took place in the second half, Koln took the lead through Modeste but an equaliser from Haidara saved them from a third successive loss. With this result Leipzig lie 12th in the table with 4 points from 5 matches.
