Serie A: Milan draw against Juventus to go joint top with Inter who thumped Bologna

(Football news) Italian football provided us with some high octane games, Roma suffered their first loss as they couldn’t capitalize on AC Milan dropping points. On the other hand Napoli today can reclaim the top spot by winning their fixtures against Udinese, they can become the only team in the top 5 leagues to maintain a perfect record by winning their match.

Juventus drew 1-1 against the in-form AC Milan, Allegri’s side still havent won this campaign and languish in the relegation places with only two points. Juventus began the match very confidently as Alvaro Morata had given them an ideal start, finishing a counter attack as he coolly chipped Maigan. Bianconeris dominated the first half as Allegri’s men were desperate for the three points but the story of the second half was completely different. Milan improved but struggled to make opportunities but still managed to take the lead, Ante Rebic rose the highest to head home the equaliser from Sandro Tonalis corner. With this result Juventus have suffered one of the worst starts in their clubs history as Allegri’s men need to find a solution quickly, on the other hand Milan are in second with 10 points just behind Inter on goal difference.

"Luckily the referee whistled for the end otherwise we could have lost it. Tonight I'm quite angry. The team played well in the first half, only conceding a long shot to Milan. In the end, we even risked losing despite the fact that until they equalised we were in total control. Unfortunately we lost attention and determination, we have to improve even if the team is to take a step forward," said Allegri after the match.

Inter thumped Bologna 6-1 in what was a great bounce back after the midweek defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League. Inter began the scoring spree through Lautaro Martinez in the first 5 minutes, then goals from Skriniar and Barella in the first half made sure Inter had a 3-0 lead heading into the break. The story of the second was similar as goals from Vecino and a double from substitute Edin Dzeko put the match to an end before 70 minutes, Bologna grabbed a mere consolation goal through Theate in the dying moments. With this result, Inter have reclaimed the top spot as they have 10 points in 4 matches and also have a positive goal difference of 11.
