In the 2025 Argentine League Torneo Apertura against Racing and Independiente Rivadavia, a terrifying tragedy occurred when Victorio Ramis sustained a severe injury that ended the game.

Ramis and Juan Nardoni were fighting for the ball in the midfield when the injury happened.  His left ankle was caught in the turf at this terrible time, and he fell with a fracture that sent shockwaves of grief through his teammates and opponents.  When Ramis signaled for help right away, the medical personnel hurried to immobilize the injured area before removing him off the field.

 As supporters of the injured athlete came together in a thunderous ovation, the effect of the injury was felt across the stadium.  Sebastián Villa challenged Nardoni during the altercation, but referee Nicolás Lamolina deemed the incident to be unintentional and decided not to penalize the Racing player.

The compelling video of Ramis being taken out on a stretcher has had a significant impact on the football community while they await an official medical report.
