Ab De Villiers, the Mr. 360-degree batsman officially retired from international cricket in 2018. However, the cricket icon continued to showcase his talent in franchise-based T20 leagues, performing brilliantly for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the cash-rich Indian Premier League (IPL).

The Former South Africa captain AB de Villiers had surprised many fans and experts with his early retirement from international cricket at that time, as he was in top form. However, De Villiers has made a shocking revelation about the reason behind his early exit.

The explosive batsman was primarily dependent on reflexes and hand-eye coordination to play cricket in the two years leading up to his retirement from all forms of cricket in 2021. However, the legendary cricketer faced a formidable challenge that shadowed his final two years in the game: “My youngster accidentally kicked me in the eye with his heel.
