This match holds significance as it will mark the 100th Test match between the two teams, and it will also be Virat Kohli’s 500th international match.

Regarding the pitch conditions, Aakash Chopra mentioned that if the pitch is similar to the one in Dominica, there might be a chance for one of the faster bowlers to be rested, and Axar Patel could be included in the playing eleven. However, Aakash also anticipates that the surface might have more grass and moisture, in which case the same eleven that played in Dominica may be retained for the second Test says Aakash Chopra.

Abhinav Mukund, believes that considering India’s dominant performance in Dominica, there might not be many changes to the team. He suggests that if any changes occur, it would be interesting to see a fast bowler like Navdeep Saini or Mukesh Kumar taking up the role of a third seamer. However, he also thinks it is unlikely that such changes will be made, and India is likely to stick with the same playing eleven.

On the other hand, Syed Saba Karim points out that the team composition might depend on the surface prepared for the match. If a pitch similar to the one in Dominica is provided, he expects Axar Patel to replace Shardul Thakur as the third spinner. However, if a pace-friendly track is used, there’s a possibility of Navdeep Saini or Mukesh Kumar coming in for Shardul Thakur.
