The PSG forward has 2 goals and 1 assist in those games and is hoping to lead his country to World Cup glory. Amidst all this, shocking reports have emerged from the USA which claim that Lionel Messi is close to agreeing a deal with MLS club Inter Miami. Their owner and football legend David Beckham has always said that he wants Messi and rival Cristiano Ronaldo to play in Miami one day and their interest isn’t surprising.

There are contrasting reports which say that Argentine captain will only decide his future after the World Cup. PSG are also ready to offer him a new contract while a return to Barcelona is also on the cards. The move will happen at the end of the current season when Messi will be 36 years old. The way he is currently playing, Messi looks more than capable of playing a few more years in Europe.

However Lionel Messi might have a feeling that his fitness is declining or his ambition to play at the highest level may also be over after this season. The football legend has achieved more than the majority of players in the World. He has already said that this World Cup is his last so it wouldn’t be a surprise he wants to go to the USA.

It is too soon for anything conclusive to be decided because a lot could depend on what happens at the World Cup and the rest of the season with PSG. For PSG it will be a loss as Messi is irreplaceable but at the same time they can look at the future and get someone younger.
