(Football news) Atletico Madrid are in a bit of a pickle after their 2-0 loss against Club Brugge in the UCL, they now have already lost 4 games this season. Diego Simeone will have to turn things around and that too quickly. He will have a chance on Saturday as the Rojiblancos take on Girona at the Wanda Metropolitano stadium. Atletico Madrid are still without Sergio Reguilon while Stefan Savic is a doubt. Marcos Llorente suffered an injury against Brugge and will be out for 3-4 weeks. Girona on the other hand will be without Real Madrid loanee Rennier Jesus and David Lopez. If there is one manager in Europe whose job never looks in danger it is Diego Simeone as he has been with Atleti since December 2011. Having said that, he needs to better the team's result in order to secure his position.
After their disappointing draw against 10-men Osasuna last weekend, Los Blancos won 2-1 against Shakhtar Donetsk. Their performance however was understanding as they only scored twice after creating so many chances. Carlo Ancelotti will be hoping that his side can take their chances and score when they travel to Getafe. Karim Benzema has been missing from training and Ancelotti said that he is tired but can play if he feels okay on the matchday. Luka Modric is likely to return to the starting line-up while Dani Ceballos and Thibaut Courtois are still out due to their injuries. As for Getafe, they will be without Mauro Arambarri and Jaime Seoane who are injured.
Barcelona will host Celta Vigo at the Camp Nou. The Blaugrana lost their UCL clash against Inter Milan midweek which puts their qualification in danger. Celta have always been one of the teams that cause Barcelona problems regardless of the form both teams are in. Xavi has quite a few injury problems to deal with. Memphis Depay, Frenkie De Jong, Ronald Araujo, Jules Kounde, Franck Kessie, Hector Bellerin and Andreas Christensen are all ruled out of the game which makes the Barcelona squad extremely thin. Xavi will be hoping that the available players can get him 3 points to keep his side on the top of the table. Celta Vigo on the other hand will come into the match after a 1-0 win over Real Betis with their fully fit squad.
