(Motorsports news) The multi-city ‘City Tour’ initiative was launched in Hyderabad on Sunday with great enthusiasm and response among 400 riders who took part in a controlled ride beginning at Dhruva College of Fashion Technology, HiTech city, riding in a loop and back to raise awareness about MotoGP among the community of race enthusiasts of the City.
This event, like other MotoGPTM Bharat events, promoted the idea that “Roads are for riding” and “Tracks are for racing,” inspired young and aspiring riders to learn about this international intellectual property, and helped them develop strong bonds of camaraderie with other bikers in Hyderabad and throughout the state.
“Hyderabad has given confidence and wings to MotoGP™ Bharat’s City Tour initiative. It turned out to be a resounding success, with participants embracing the thrill of riding through the city streets. This event marked the beginning of an exciting chapter, and we look forward to bringing the MotoGP™ Bharat experience to more cities across the country,” commented Sushant Shrivastava, Managing Director and Head of City Tours, FairStreet Sport, the Indian promoters of MotoGP™.
It was encouraging to see so many female bikers at the event. This noteworthy involvement also highlighted the growing prominence of women in the bike world and demonstrated how MotoGPTM has been able to successfully appeal to all genders on a worldwide scale.
After successfully completing the Hyderabad phase, the race will move on to Ahmedabad on July 23, which is the next stop on the City Tour. In addition to the trip, the festival featured massive DJ sets, bike stunts, food vendors, selfie booths, 360-degree virtual reality, and a gaming booth.
As the caravan travels across the nation and culminates in Delhi on race weekend in September, the host state of Uttar Pradesh will warmly welcome the bike enthusiasts from Hyderabad and other cities. From there, they will ride to the renowned Buddh International Circuit for the race, which will take place from September 22–24, 2023.
The event’s coordination also benefited greatly from the efforts of AVP, brand alliances Shaan Ahuja and Head of Marketing Rohit Sharma.
