(Football news) Chelsea and Ecuadorian club Independiente del Valle have finally exchanged the documents and fee structure for the transfer of Kendry Paez. The youngster is now set to move to London in 2025 when he will turn 18. For the time being, the youngster will continue with Independiente and will develop further. Chelsea continued their trend of offering long-term contracts as he signed a very long contract with the Blues. Independiente are set to receive a sum worth €20 million for their player, but the main part of the transfer fee will be in add-ons.
Paez has been very highly rated by not only his club but the whole of South America. There will be high expectations from him when he eventually joins the club in 2025. Chelsea are trying to sign more and more youngsters from South America as they already have signed Anthony Santos who’s the Brazil U20 captain. Ecuador over the recent years have been producing some very talented players in the likes of Moises Caicedo, Pervis Estupinan, and Piero Hincapie who have subsequently attracted a lot of praise for their qualities
Chelsea under the ownership of Todd Boehly have been signing young players left and right. Andrey Santos is expected to join the club in the summer, while the likes of Carney Chukwuemeka, Gabriel Slolina, and Omari Hutchinson are with the first team training and more have already been signed for the future project. It looks like they will be managed by Mauricio Pochettino next season as he is the favorite to become the new Chelsea manager and whether he can rebuild the club into something with these young players will be a question for next season.
