Dortmund host Leipzig today at the Signal Iduna Park

(Football news) Dortmund will be looking to secure their 10th successive victory in all competitions and move to the top of the Bundesliga standings when they welcome RB Leipzig on Friday. Leipzig on the other hand could move one point behind their opponents and the same points tally at the top of the table. Edin Terzic’s side are arguably heading into their most important week of the season so far, as it provides them an opportunity to potentially knock one team out of the title contention and victory would move them seven points clear of their former manager Marco Rose’s side.

Dortmund also travel to London to face Chelsea in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie on Tuesday as they attempt to book their place in the last eight of Europe’s elite competition. Terzic and his players are heading into the two incredibly important matches with a lot of confidence as they look to prove this season will not be another disappointing one for the Yellow Wall. Leipzig meanwhile, have also displayed great spirit to bounce back from their 2-1 defeat to Union Berlin last month as they won two tricky fixtures against Wolfsburg and Eintracht Frankfurt to keep themselves in the Bundesliga’s title hunt.

Borussia Dortmund possible starting lineup:

Kobel; Ryerson, Sule, Schlotterbeck, Guerreiro; Ozcan, Can, Bellingham; Brandt, Haller, Reus

RB Leipzig possible starting lineup:

Blaswich; Henrichs, Orban, Gvardiol, Halstenberg; Kampl, Schlager; Szoboszlai, Forsberg, Werner; Nkunku

Bayern Munich will be aiming to end the weekend at the top of the Bundesliga table. The hosts head into the weekend’s outside of the relegation zone just on goal difference only. After Bayern suffered a  surprising 3-2 defeat to Borussia Monchengladbach, they needed a response against fellow title rivals Union Berlin last weekend as the Bavarian giants brushed aside Urs Fischer’s side during a clinical first-half performance. Goals from Eric Choupo-Moting, Kingsley Coman and Jamal Musiala ended the match before half time. With BVB hosting RB Leipzig on Friday, there is a chance that Bayern will find themselves in second place when they face Stuttgart a day later. With the Der Klassiker the first match back after March’s international break it most looks like a potential title clincher.

Julian Nagelsmann will be hoping that his side can hold onto their slender 1-0 lead against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League, as the French champions visit the Allianz Arena on Tuesday evening. Both teams are desperate to book their place in the last eight of Europe’s elite competition although Nagelsmann will be keen for his players to focus on one game at a time.Especially they can not afford too many slip ups having already dropped points in nine of their Bundesliga matches this season.

Stuttgart possible starting lineup:

Bredlow; Anton, Mavropanos, Zagadou, Ito; Endo, Karazor, Haraguchi; Gil, Silas, Fuhrich

Bayern Munich possible starting lineup:

Sommer; Pavard, Upamecano, De Ligt, Davies; Kimmich, Goretzka; Sane, Musiala, Coman; Choupo-Moting
