(Cricket news) India women won their first match against Pakistan in thrilling fashion. Now they set their sights on West Indies who they have gotten the better off in recent times. The WPL auction was groundbreaking in many ways but now it’s time for the women in blue to go back to playing for their country. West Indies lost the 1st match against England which makes this one a massive game for them. However It will be a massive upset if India women were to lose this game. Having said that India’s bowling needs to improve as it was a rather underwhelming display against Pakistan.
India women possible playing XI:

Smriti Mandhana should be fit for this game after missing the first one. Yastika Bhatia will miss out while Devika Vaidya could also come in for Harleen Deol as India can afford to play a batter less with Mandhana back in the side. India in the last match looked a pacer short which could lead to Shikha Pandey coming into the side in place of Rajeshwari Gayakwad.

West Indies lost both games against India women convincingly in the tri series that happened before the competition. They will have to play out of their skins in order to trouble this Indian side. Skipper Hayley Matthews’ contribution will be absolutely crucial with both bat and ball. Having said that, other players will have to step up too. Their performance against England was not too bad but there is still a lot of room for improvement.
