(Football news) Jurgen Klopp has been Liverpool’s manager since 2015. In that period he has taken the club to enormous heights winning a Premier League title, a Champions League title, an FA Cup, a League Cup, a Club World Cup, a UEFA Super Cup and a Community Shield. Liverpool have also been UCL runner up twice and Europa League runner ups once. However this season has been terrible for Klopp and his men as they sit 11th on the Premier League table. If this was any other manager at any other club, there would be talks of sacking a long time back but because it is Klopp and Liverpool that isn’t the case.

Klopp has the backing of the club and rightly so as he has delivered the goods in the past. In the case of a club like Manchester City, there is an argument that money is a big factor in their success but with Liverpool that isn’t the case. Klopp has turned average players into some of the best in the World and he deserves credit for it. However the situation of the club right now is not all about the lack of investment from the owners. The German boss has to take a share of the blame and maybe he has taken it as far as he could and Liverpool need someone new to take over.

Liverpool have signed 2 highly rated forwards in the past 2 windows i.e Cody Gakpo and Darwin Nunez. The lack of reinforcements in midfield is something which is hurting Liverpool along with the injuries. Mauricio Pochettino famously said in his Tottenham days that he is the coach of the side and not the manager as he plays no part in transfers. Klopp is certainly involved in transfers and the lack of signings is down to him as well. If Liverpool had to sack Klopp mid season they would’ve already done it. However come the end of the season especially with the potential ownership change, Klopp could be shown the exit.
