Zaheer Khan reveals how he represented Australia before his India debut

Below is a fun banter from #TheInsiders feed on JioCinema where Zaheer Khan revealed that he represented Australia before debut in the Indian cricket team.

(Cricket news) JioCinema TATA IPL experts Scott Styris, Zaheer Khan, and Brett Lee recently ended up discussing a rare anecdote about Khan on #TheInsiders feed, where Scott Styris surprised everyone by revealing that India’s former ace fast bowler first played against him while representing Australia, even before making his debut for the Indian Cricket Team.

Styris persisted in trying to know the reason for this. He cheekily questioned Khan if he still had his baggy green and shared how he was baffled by the fact that he represented Australia, as Styris never got a chance for the same, despite being born there. Zaheer, who was pleasantly surprised that Styris dug out the piece of trivia, attempted to change the subject of the conversation, by asking why Styris shifted from New Zealand to Australia, but to no avail.

Finally, Zaheer admitted that this hapepned back in his academy days when he was based in Adelaide, and went on to suprise everyone further, by sharing that he had played that game alongside former Australian captain, Michael Clarke.

Brett Lee chipped in with his own banter, saying that maybe Zaheer representing Australia is the reason why the two pacers got along so well, which left Zaheer smiling cheekily.
