Vote for November Etihad Player

The Etihad Women’s Player of the Month contest for November is now accepting votes.

In November, City advanced to the UEFA Women’s Champions League knockout stages after winning four of our fives games across all competitions.

The Blues advanced from Group D with two games remaining after defeating Hammarby both at home and away during their two distinct appearances in European competition.

We lost to Chelsea in the Barclays Women’s Super League for the first time in 2024–2025, but we also had thrilling victories over Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace to be happy about.

It has been challenging as usual to create a three-player shortlist for the final voting, but we have chosen the trio below.

Roord, Jill

Roord, a Dutch international, has made an incredible comeback since rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament in January.

In November, the midfielder scored in the first two of City’s three WSL games and started all three.

After a well-timed run into the hosts’ box at Crystal Palace, Roord was in the right position at the right time to smash home the Blues’ second of the afternoon.

Alex Greenwood

Given how reliable she is at the center of the Blues’ defense, Alex Greenwood City’s captain was perhaps unlucky not to be selected for the Etihad Player of the Month award in September or October.

However, the England international played in all five of our games in November, once again stepping up when it counted.

Bunny Shaw

Our Jamaican, who was just defeated by Hemp for the October award, had another free-scoring month.

Shaw finished a 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace with a precise header to give City their sixth goal in five games.

After that, the attacker scored a hat-trick against Tottenham Hotspur at the Etihad, scoring the goal in just 21 seconds.

Shaw continued to get praise after breaking the WSL’s hat-trick record with her most recent treble.

In fact, she ascended to the top of the Club’s all-time Champions League scoring tally with her brace in our 2-1 victory over Hammarby to end the month.

Another difficult choice, but who will you vote for?

Is Jill Roord deserving of the award? Will you pick Alex Greenwood? Or is your deserving winner Bunny Shaw?
