Vinícius Júnior Named MVP in Clash

In the UEFA Champions League match between Manchester City and Real Madrid, where the visitors won 3-2 in a thrilling comeback, Vinícius Júnior was awarded Player of the Match.

With the most crucial passes and constant ball-fighting in the last third, the Brazilian was the most threatening player on the attack and managed to get past Manchester City’s defense. Additionally, Vinícius put in more pressure than any other player on the field and provided the assist that allowed Carlo Ancelotti’s squad to win the game. UEFA’s press office defended its choice.

Notably, there were a lot of doubts about the Brazilian’s mental state prior to the match in Manchester, particularly after he lost the 2024 Ballon d’Or to Rodri of City. As he continues to heal from his injuries, the Spaniard, incidentally, watched the game from the sidelines.
