Skafto (Sweden), Aug 29 (Golf News) Vani Kapoor secured another solid result as she finished T-19 at the Didriksons Skaftö Open here.
Carding her second successive sub-par round, Vani, who was T-3 in her last start in the Netherlands, totalled 2-under 205 to finish inside the Top-20.
Tvesa Malik, who is seeking a revival in form, carded a second straight even par round of 69 and was T-38th as she totalled 2-over 209, while Amandeep Drall (67) was T-26th and Diksha Dagar (72) finished T-59th.
Hosts Sweden had a great week with five golfers in Top-9 including winner, Linn Grant, who won her fourth LET title of the season with back-to-back birdies on her final two holes.
Vani had a good start with birdies on first, third and fifth, but then dropped three shots between sixth and 12th. Two more birdies on 13th and 18th ensured a sub-par round and a decent finish.
The Indians will now play in the Aland 100 Ladies Open in Finland.
Grant, the Scandinavian Mixed champion, turned on the style in front of her home crowd once again on the Swedish West Coast as she pulled some magnificent shots out the bag on the final stretch to see off compatriot Lisa Pettersson by a single shot.
Maja Stark and Becky Morgan both produced rounds of 4-under 65 to move themselves into a share of third at 8-under overall on Sunday, as they finished alongside England’s Alice Hewson who shot 2-under 67 in her final 18 holes.
In the Race to Costa Del Sol, Maja Stark retains her lead at the top of the standings, but her lead was cut to just 158.73 points, with Grant’s victory keeping things very interesting as we reach the climax of the 2022 season.
