The “Skyesports Masters” Esports League, India’s franchise-based league, was announced with a massive prize fund of INR 2 crore

The Skyesports Masters, which is being organised by Jet Skyesports and will include eight franchised teams, would be the largest gaming competition in India

(Esports News) Jet Skyesports, the top Esports tournament organiser in South Asia, has unveiled its newest IP, the Skyesports Masters, which not only represents the nation’s first franchise-based Esports league but also the largest gaming competition in India to date with a staggering INR 2 crore prize pool, setting a new standard for the Indian Esports industry.

The ground-breaking league will take place in Mumbai, India, as an on-ground event (LAN) with a live audience, and it will include a total of eight franchise teams made up of the largest national and international personalities in CS:GO.

Jet Skyesports will be a catalyst for the development of a long-lasting Counter-Strike ecosystem by using its position in the market to open up revenue streams for all eight franchised teams in the Skyesports Masters through sponsorships, merchandise sales, and media rights agreements.

Shiva Nandy, the founder and CEO of Skyesports, offered his opinion on the development of the Skyesports Masters and its goals, “The Skyesports Masters is set to redefine and raise the bar for Esports in India. With our franchised system, we have found eight fantastic partners to be a part of the inaugural season of the league. Our goal for the league is not to just create one of the grandest tournaments for audiences to enjoy but also to build a viable ecosystem for Esports organizations while unlocking many revenue streams for them. This is the need of the hour for the Indian Esports industry as a lot of organizations are reeling under huge losses and we hope Skysports Masters can be the much-needed game changes for the industry.”

The cafe qualifiers and main event of the Skyesports Masters league will begin in Mumbai. In this match, the eight franchise teams will compete live in front of spectators to determine the ultimate “Skyesports Masters.”

Jet Skyesports has partnered with local gaming cafés in 20 different cities, including Chennai, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, and many others, to scout for the best CS:GO players during the qualifiers. This is done in order to give the country’s up-and-coming and highly talented gamers a platform to showcase their talent. Franchise teams will have the option, as part of the Skyesports Masters, to bolster their squads of A-list talent with the best scouted players from the qualifications.

Anuj Tandon, CEO of JetSynthesys’ gaming division, remarked in response to comments made about the unusual structure, “Over the years Skyesports has hosted various tournaments in association with some of the popular games. Counter-Strike has been at the heart of India’s gaming café culture for decades and Skyesports’ association with CSGO will usher in a revival of the game ahead of the release of Counter-Strike 2. It’s a significant milestone for us as we gear up to bring forth Skyesports’ first-ever franchised esports league that will see a lot of talent emerge and contribute to the growth of the Indian esports industry at the grassroots level.”

CS:GO, although being a traditional Esports game, is still a significant component of the Esports community, with over 36,000,000 players as of March of this year.
