Sri Lanka Cricket appoints Hashan Tillakaratne as the Head Coach of Women’s Team

Sri Lanka Cricket on Friday announced the appointment of Hashan Tillakaratne as the Head Coach of the National Women’s T

Tillakaratne was the member of Sri Lanka's 1996 World Cup-winning squad and has held several coaching positions before. He has  worked as the Head Coach of the U19 Sri Lankan team and also as the Batting Coach of the Sri Lanka Emerging Team.

Tillakaratne was also the Head Coach of the Lanka Premier League team Kandy Tuskers,  during its first edition.

Sri Lanka Cricket also named Brett Harrop, a former Australian First-Class Cricketer, as the Lead Physiotherapist of the National Team. 

Harrop, before joining Sri Lanka Cricket, has been working for New Zealand Cricket as the Sports Physiotherapist . He has also worked as the Head Physiotherapist for the IPL franchise, Kings XI Punjab as well as for the Lahore Qalandars of the Pakistan Super League
