(Cricket News) The World Cup-winning Australian duo Pat Cummins and Travis Head were among the six players the 2016 champion acquired at the end of the IPL 2024 Auction, which took place at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai on Tuesday. The winning bid of Rs. 20.50 crore for Cummins was the highest amount in the history of the IPL auction, before Mitchell Starc went to the Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs. 24.75 crore.
SRH added more players to bolster its bowling unit, purchasing Indian pacer Jaydev Undakat for Rs. 1.60 crore and Sri Lankan leg-spinner Wanindu Hasaranga for Rs. 1.5 crore. Its final purchases in the auction were Akash Singh and Jhathavedh Subramanyan, both for Rs. 20 lakh.
