South Africa to host Sri Lanka, Pakistan in 2024-25 home season

(Cricket News) South Africa will be hosting Pakistan and Sri Lanka in their home season for 2024-25. Cricket South Africa (CSA) on Friday (May 3) announced their schedule for the 2024-25 home season for both the men’s and women’s team.

The South African men’s side will kick of their home coming on the 27th of November against Sri Lanak, where they will be facing the Lankan lions in a 2-match test series. The Sri Lankan challenge will be followed by a full fledged multi-format series against Pakistan.

Pakistan will tour South Africa to play a total of 2 Tests, 3 Odis and 3 T20Is. The series will begin with the T20Is on the 10th of Dec, which will be followed by 3 ODIs and will end with a New year’s test from the 3rf of Jan.

South Africa women’s side will be hosting England for a multi-format series that will consist of three T20Is, three ODIs and a one-off Test match. Before the international assignments start, South Africa men’s ‘A’ side will be hosting Sri Lanka ‘A’ side for three ODIs and two four-day games in the month of August.

“As we open our doors to esteemed cricketing nations like Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and England, we not only showcase the talent and competitiveness of South African cricket but also celebrate the global appeal and camaraderie inherent in our beloved sport,” CSA chief Pholetsi Moseki said.
