Signings of Kylian Mbappe and Endrick may rise internal conflicts

Two of Real Madrid's top players have voiced reservations over the arrival of Kylian Mbappe and Brazilian prodigy Endrick, raising the possibility of a "internal war" within the team

(Football news) The team led by Carlo Ancelotti easily defeated Barcelona by a 10-point margin to win the La Liga championship the previous year.

Then, earlier this month, Los Blancos defeated Bundesliga powerhouse Borussia Dortmund at Wembley Stadium to win a record-tying 15th Champions League championship.

Los Merengues wasted little time in adding two more elite players to their already star-studded roster for the upcoming season, even with Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Jr., the top Ballon d’Or prospects for 2024, already on their team.

The first was a deal that Madrid completed back in December 2022 for Palmeiras’ teenage sensation Endrick, and the second was the blockbuster acquisition of former Paris Saint-Germain talisman Kylian Mbappe.

Real Madrid stars voice concerns over new arrivals

Endrick already has 82 senior appearances under his belt and has scored three times in four appearances for his country this season, including a winner against England in a friendly at Wembley.

Mbappe, on the other hand, needs no introduction and is widely expected to become the focal point of Madrid’s attack next season.

The arrival of Endrick and Mbappe could result in an ‘internal war’ within Los Blancos’ camp, which could lead to one or more high-profile departures this summer.

The report adds that the source of the potential upheaval stems from Rodrygo and Vinicius Jr expressing concerns that the new arrivals will limit their playing time next season.

There is a school of thought suggesting that Real’s preferred attack in the 2024-25 campaign will feature Mbappe playing centrally, flanked by new signing Endrick on one side and Vinicius on the other.

If that were to be the case it would leave Rodrygo playing a bit-part role, leading to speculation that he could look for a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu this summer.

Rodrygo potential exit puts Reds on high alert

The possibility of Rodrygo departing Madrid this summer has put Liverpool on high alert, with the Reds having been linked with a move for the Brazilian in recent times.

While the 23-year-old is a favourite of Ancelotti’s, it is understood that an offer in the region of £100m could convince Los Blancos to part ways with the talented Brazil international.

Indeed, a signing of that value will require Liverpool to make one or more existing player sales of their own, and that could see Luis Diaz, who has been a transfer target of Barcelona, leave Anfield this summer.

Alternatively, it could necessitate that the Reds reevaluate their stance on allowing Mohamed Salah to head to the Saudi Pro League for what should be a mega transfer fee.
