(Shooting sport news) Olympic 2021 Live Update: Saurabh Chaudhary, an Indian medal contender, could not repeat his qualifying performance and finished seventh in the men's 10m air pistol final at the Tokyo Olympics on Saturday.

An hour after topping the qualifiers with a mind-blowing performance at the Asaka Range, the Indian ace shot 137.4 and was eliminated in seventh place.

Chaudhary did not have the best of beginnings, as after the first five strokes, he was ranked eighth in the results with a score of 47.7.

With a score of 117.2 after the 12th shot, the Asian Games and Youth Olympics gold medalist was placed sixth.

He made it through the first round of elimination, but not for long, as the much-hyped Indian shooting squad struggled to get off to a good start in Tokyo.
